500-copy milestone reached

A major milestone has been reached: more than 500 copies of Crossing Swords are out there! During the first four months since publishing, sales have been steady — and steadily increasing. So far, word-of-mouth seems to be the most successful type of advertising going on.

Initially nearly all sales were through Amazon. More recently, sales have been increasing from brick-and-mortar book stores through the Ingram wholesale channel.  Plus, sales are starting to come from Europe, most recently from France, England, and Germany. The chart of sales since the July 4, 2015 publishing date shows the upward trend and the breakdown of sales channels.

Adding the advance copies printed for the Kickstarter backers and promotion, the copies in circulation to date total more than 500. Considering this is a self-published book by a first-time unknown author, I’d say sales are off to a great start!
