Now that the editing is done and Crossing Swords is being processed by the printer, I can turn my full attention to the next crucial step: getting book reviews! Without at least one book review from a well-respected book trade journal, public libraries may not even consider adding the book to their collections. To be reviewed by the best trade journals, the book needs to be submitted at least two months prior to the publishing date. That means now!
In fact, even before the final book is ready, I already started submitting the book, using the draft bound manuscripts I had printed up last summer for content review. Not ideal, but it’s what I had on hand to meet their deadline for submission. Here’s hoping one or more of these packages catches the attention of the right person!
