Kickstarter “Stretch Goal” for Illustrated Portraits

Mockup of Illustrated Portrait Page

For the final 3 days of the Crossing Swords Kickstarter campaign, I am putting out a “stretch goal” of $4000, which means raising an additional $1628.  This could be accomplished by pre-selling an additional 52 autographed copies for $30 each, which would also achieve the original goal of pre-selling 100 copies of the book through this campaign.

The additional funds will be used to commission an illustration page for the book showing portraits of Mary Baker Eddy and Victoria Woodhull along with other important historic figures who are also part of the story, leaders like Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Harriett Beecher Stowe, Lucy Stone, Mary Livermore, Maggie Fox, and some famous men, too. Being able to see what these civic leaders looked like should help the reader connect with the history–make it more real!

I am also adding a new reward for a $100 contribution: 1 autographed print copy, an e-book, plus a 1 hour telephone conversation with the author.

Please consider becoming a Crossing Swords backer by December 4 and spread the word!
